Indiana Hearing Specialists, working with the Lions Club, is continuing its mission to get hearing health care access to more people in our community.<\/p>\n

For the month of April 2023, we will host our Pay It Forward event, a partnership with Indiana Lions Speech and Hearing, Inc., to help recycle hearing aids. This helps make essential hearing technology available to hard-of-hearing individuals from low-income families.<\/p>\n

Around 278 million people worldwide have moderate to profound hearing loss in both ears, according to the World Health Organization. Regardless, the annual production of hearing aids has previously been estimated to meet less than 10% of the global need.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s where recycling your old hearing aids comes into play.<\/p>\n

How Does it Work?<\/h2>\n

Recycling your previous hearing aids means that you\u2019ll also receive a 10% discount on a new pair of hearing aids<\/strong>!* It\u2019s a win-win for everyone.<\/p>\n

Indiana Lions Speech and Hearing Inc<\/a>. is an arm of the Indiana Lions organization that focuses on the prevention of speech and hearing loss, the enrichment of speech and hearing health and the education of next generation of speech pathology and audiology professionals.\u00a0They help low-income Hoosiers acquire hearing aids and provide funding for research, scholarships and patient support to a variety of organizations.\u00a0ILSH is solely funded by Indiana Lions Clubs and private donations.<\/p>\n
